For years, Chef Marcus Locke has created exceptional dining experiences for some of Kansas City’s most elegant weddings, prestigious celebrations, and high-profile events. His passion for culinary excellence, artistic presentation, and personalized service has earned him a reputation for delivering experiences that are as memorable as the food itself.
Chef Marcus Locke with 15 years of kitchen and catering experience, starting from the entry level into the kitchen obtaining an associates degree from Le Cordon Bleu. He work at several restaurants in Austin, Texas where he gained a lot of his fine dining experience working for Chef Josh Watkins at The Carillion “Voted Best Restaurant Austin”. He then returned to Kansas City, were he choose to work at Lidia’s to expand his knowledge into Italian cuisine.
In September 2012, Marcus assisted opening The Jacobson as Sous Chef. Generating a buzz throughout the growing Crossroads district with his southern influenced, regional American cuisine. Chef Marcus was an integral part of planning, design, construction, finishing and setup of The Jacobson from a shell-out warehouse space to a polish restaurant. Later moving to The Nelson Atkins Museum of fine arts as a sous chef, later becoming executive chef. There he did over 80 high-end weddings, galas, several different cultural events.
At Catering On Locke, we don’t believe every event should receive the same menu. We believe every event deserves its own culinary experience.
